CEDAR FALLS — A recent report of the Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity finds Iowa to have the third highest median return on investment when it comes to public systems of universities, regional colleges, community colleges and technical schools.The non-partisan think-tank indicates that 'Iowa State University is far and away the most valuable player in the Hawkeye State.' However, report author Preston Cooper said it's more of a group effort when it comes to those states that perform well, not just one institution.
